Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and new OSCE Secretary-General Thomas Greminger coordinated approaches to the deployment of a UN peacekeeping mission across the entire territory of occupied Donbas at a meeting in Kyiv.
According to Poroshenko, it is important for the OSCE and the UN to build intensive dialogue on the matter, his press service said.
He briefed the OSCE head on the situation in Donbas, progress in the implementation of the Minsk agreements and his view on the deoccupation of Crimea.
Poroshenko also asked Greminger for assistance in equipping the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission.
He urged the OSCE to use all available means to ensure the release of Ukrainian political prisoners in Russia, Crimea and separatist-held areas in Donbas.
