Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko will meet his US counterpart Donald Trump at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has said on the air of Inter TV.
"Certainly, the president will talk to Trump… they will talk as two presidents. Why would they discuss any issues, including some very sensitive ones, in any general format?" he said.
According to Klimkin, there are about 20 meetings on the sidelines on Poroshenko's schedule.
Klimkin is planning to have a detailed discussion with US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson in Paris.
Davos will host the 48th World Economic Forum on 23-26 January. IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde is also planning to meet Poroshenko there.
