Five servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were injured as a result of shooting attacks by pro-Russian militants in Donbas on 20 January. One of them was wounded, four others had combat injuries, according to the evening update on Facebook by the press centre of the antiterrorist operation (ATO) HQ.

In the Donetsk sector, Russia-supported militants used mortars of various calibres. They repeatedly fired with 120-mm mortars and infantry fighting vehicle guns on the approaches to Vodyane. They targeted ATO positions near Shyrokyne with 82-mm mortars and grenade launchers.

In the meantime, an escalation was recorded near Novoselivka Druha where militants used grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.

Six shooting attacks by the separatists have been registered from the midnight to 6 p.m. Kyiv time.
