Epiphany, one of the most important Christian holidays of the year, was marked in Kyiv and other cities of Ukraine on 19 January.
People came to rivers and lakes for blessed water. Many of them took a dip in freezing water.

Kyiv mayor Vitaliy Klitschko, district heads, several officials and city councillorss took a plunge in the Natalka park.
According to Klitschko, he did this out of his own will.
