A Ukrainian national was killed as a result of a terrorist attack on Intercontinental Hotel in Kabul, Afghanistan on 20 January, a spokesperson for the consular department of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Vasyl Kyrylych, has tweeted.
"A Ukrainian national was killed as a result of the attack on a hotel in Kabul. The Ukrainian consul is flying out to Kabul," his tweet reads.
The identity of the killed person is not disclosed.
Three men opened fire on guests and staff at Intercontinental Hotel in Kabul on the evening of 20 January. Five people were killed and six wounded.
