Sanctions against Russia are gradually reaching all those involved in the occupation of Ukrainian territories, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has tweeted.
"New US sanctions are mounting pressure on Russia. Step by step, sanctions are reaching all those who were involved in installing the Russian occupying administration on Ukrainian land," he said.
On 26 January, the USA expanded sanctions against the Kremlin over Russia's interference in eastern Ukraine. In particular, the USA included 21 citizens of Russia and Ukraine as well as nine companies on the sanction list. It also specified restrictions with regard to 12 more companies.
Among those affected by the sanctions are Russian Deputy Energy Minister Andrey Cherezov and Sevastopol governor Dmitriy Ovsyannikov.
