Ukrainian servicemen detained an armed pro-Russian militant in Donbas on 5 May, a spokesman for the Joint Forces Operation, Oleksandr Petruk, has said on Facebook.
"His profile gives a very clear picture of who the Russian terrorist troops are made of. The militant has served in the group since 2014. He had been convicted of crimes three times and spent more than one year in prison," he said.
Earlier, the JFO press centre said that militants had been shelling residential areas of Luhanske and Zaytseve in Donetsk Region.
