The Pension Fund has said that in July 2018 pension payments had to be rescheduled because of cash shortages caused by the irregular receipt of unified social contributions, which is the main source of money for the Pension Fund.
"Since the beginning of the month, 24.9bn hryvnyas has been allocated to pay pensions, in particular, 1.7bn hryvnyas on 24 July," the Pension Fund said.
The Pension Fund guaranteed that this month it would have full financing.
Deputy Minister of Social Policy Mykola Shambir said that delayed pensions would be paid in a matter of days.
"Payments are being made, we are expecting the completion of payments in a few days, work is in progress to ensure that in August we will pay everything evenly, without disruptions," he said on 112 Ukrayina TV.
As of 1 July 2018, Ukraine had 11.4m pensioners.
