Small privatization in Ukraine can now be done on the ProZorro.Prodazhi platform online.
According to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the first bid is a two-storied former dental hospital put up for sale by the Zhytomyr city council.
There is also property for sale in Lviv and Izmayil.
"We are changing and breaking the old system and putting everything in ProZorro. Any entrepreneur will be able to see what is on sale and buy the needed space or facility, which would not require having connections in a district or regional administration," Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said.
In May 2018, Ukraine launched a pilot project on small privatization based on the ProZorro system. Under the law on the privatization of state or community-owned property, which came into effect in March, property worth under 250m hryvnyas (9.4m dollars).
By 24 July, 18 trade platforms have been licensed to register sellers and customers for small privatization auctions.
