Last week Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) blocked all channels through which components for Ukraine's defence industry used to be supplied, Ukrainian Prosecutor-General Yuriy Lutsenko has said.
"Ukrainian medium-range air defence missiles were made in part and thanks to [state defence concern] Ukroboronprom which purchased some of the necessary products under a similar algorithm... and it is already too late to petition because the FSB blocked all channels last week, or at least those we are aware of," Lutsenko told the parliamentary ad hoc commission investigating embezzlement in defence procurement.
"I know of no other way for the defence industry: when it comes to unique parts and units whose manufacturing took decades to set up even in the Soviet Union," he said.
