The Kyiv police will go on enhanced duty as of 25 March because of the presidential election set for 31 March.
"A bigger part of garrison will protect public order during the election but this will not affect the number of street patrols or the number of investigative operative groups," he said.
In early March, law enforcers held a joint training ahead of the election.
