Crimean Tatar leader, MP Mustafa Dzhemilyev has said that Crimean Tatars will be in "constructive opposition" to Volodymyr Zelensky who, according to preliminary results, has won the presidential election.
"We are Petro Poroshenko's team and Crimean Tatars actively support him. It is almost obvious that we will be in opposition but in constructive opposition. We completely support the president in everything good the president can do for the state and in the issues we consider right. But if anything contradicts our ideas, the Ukrainian state and our people, we will speak up," Dzhemilyev said in a commentary to Krym.Realii.
The priority for Ukraine is to preserve stability, he added.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy defeated incumbent President Petro Poroshenko in the election runoff on 21 April.
