President Petro Poroshenko does not rule out that if the showman Volodymyr Zelenskyy wins the presidential election, the old forces are likely to take a revenge, which in the future may provoke popular unrest and another Maydan.
He pointed out that he did not like this scenario.
The head of state said this during a national debate on the UA:First public TV.
"The country is facing the threat of revenge... because under this wrap, under this "sheep's skin", the real "wolves" will come. And I am against Ukraine paying such a price, bringing people to Maydan. And this will be a different Maydan," Poroshenko said, as quoted by Interfax-Ukraine.
“I am proud that during my presidential term we have managed to avoid it,” he added.
