In the course of the talks in the trilateral contact group on Donbas, Russia has refused to support Ukraine's initiative to declare an Easter ceasefire as of 19 April, Ukraine's representative in the group, Iryna Herashchenko, has said.
The Skype conference lasted for six hours but brought no results, she added.
Russia's representative in the group, Boris Gryzlov, did not join the conference call. In his absence, Russia was represented by diplomat Kulmugamedov.
"The RF has flatly refused to guarantee a ceasefire, having once again repeated the Kremlin's remarks about the "civil war, internal conflict" and the need to have a "direct dialogue" with ORDLO [occupied parts of Donbas]," she said on Facebook.
The Easter ceasefire was expected to take effect at midday on 19 April.
