Eleven political prisoners and 24 sailors attacked by Russia in November 2018 have returned to Ukraine from Russian captivity.
Their aircraft landed at Boryspil airport shortly after 1.30 p.m. local time.
Among them are film director Oleg Sentsov, journalist Roman Sushchenko, Pavlo Hryb, who was abducted by the Russian FSB in Belarus, Crimean Tatar activist Edem Bekirov.
Some of the Ukrainians have developed serious medical conditions while in Russian detention.
To bring them home, Ukraine has released 35 Ukrainian and Russian nationals suspected of various crimes, some of them as gross as high treason.
