Kyiv mayor Vitaliy Klitschko has said that 41 coronavirus cases were confirmed in the Ukrainian capital on 8 April, including 26 in the iconic Kyiv Pechersk Lavra monastery.
"it is difficult to imagine what chain of further infection could be. That is why I am concerned about this year's Easter. [I hope we will not have] a sharp rise after the holidays or hundreds of new patients," he said at a daily briefing.
One person in Kyiv has died from coronavirus over the past 24 hours.
