All of the customs systems on the western border are running uninterrupted. Weapons and medicine can be delivered without permits. The customs also promise to speed up the border crossing procedure for women and children. This was stated in the report on the online meeting of Verkhovna Rada Committee on Financial and Tax Policy by the deputy chairman of the State Customs Service of Ukraine Oleksandr Shchutsky, according to the MP of “Voice” fraction Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
“Deployed the entire system on the western border. The system is disconnected at the eastern border (Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, and other oblasts). The MP reported that customs officers did not give access to the system to the occupiers, including by simply destroying the servers”.
It is emphasized that the procedure for delivering humanitarian aid to Ukraine is simplified. As of now, the only things needed are documentation and an appeal from the Territorial Defense.
“Everything that has to do with defense and medicine we can deliver. No permits are needed. As for the women and children that want to cross the border from the Ukrainian side, today this issue will be resolved” - the MP noted.
The MP also added that “sadly, customs lost many workers during the war. Many sacrificed themselves to stop the occupier”.
