Children from Mariupol, Donetsk region, recorded a video message to their peers from Russia and Belarus. They asked to stop the war.

The video was recorded in Russian and published by Dom TV channel.

In it, the children speak about what their peaceful life was like before 24 February 2022 and how it changed after the attack by the Russian army—they cannot go outside because of shelling, they sleep in bomb shelters.

"We ask you, our peers from Russia and Belarus, to tell your family and friends, your parents and brothers who are fighting against us," the children said in the video.

As mentioned before, the Ukrainian city of Mariupol is one of the key cities in the east. Since the first day of the war it has been shelled by occupying Russian forces, as they try to capture it. The battle for the city continues.
