The defenders have destroyed a significant amount of enemy equipment near Chernihiv and on the outskirts of the city over the past two days. This was reported by the operational command "North".
It is reported that artillery units destroyed up to 80 pieces of equipment on their way across the river to advance in the direction of Kyiv.
On the night of March 11-12, a convoy of vehicles of the 228th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 90th Tank Division of the Russian Armed Forces, which is supposed to provide logistics for the enemy, was broken up.
"Vehicles with fuel, ammunition, and weapons were on fire for two days," the operational headquarters reported.
It is also noted that the brigade-tactical group of the same regiment, which tried to blockade Chernihiv, was defeated.
"On the outskirts of the regional center, the Ukrainian military discovered and destroyed two command and observation posts of the enemy's battalion tactical group from the 35th separate motorized rifle brigade (Aleysk, Altai Krai).
In addition, the defenders of Chernihiv managed to eliminate the enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group," - the statement said.
But the enemy continues to launch air and missile strikes on civilian buildings and homes in Chernihiv, killing civilians and destroying housing, in spite of international law and rules of engagement.
Earlier, it was reported that the tank division of the enemy in the Chernihiv region had been destroyed, but it was supposed to advance in the direction of Kyiv.
