Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the Center for Countering Disinformation has confirmed at least ten dead from the top military commander of the Russian Armed Forces.
On the night of 16 March, the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council released a list of high-ranking Russian army officials who followed the Russian warship with a "cargo 200".

Yesterday, soldiers of The Azov Special Operations Detachment of the National Guard, who with the Armed Forces are defending Mariupol, showed the attack results on the 22nd Separate Guards Special Purpose Brigade of the GRU of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces.
The photo clearly shows damaged equipment, including two of the newest Typhoon-K armoured vehicles, several Tigrs and three armoured personnel carriers 82A.

In addition, Azov fighters reported that they had eliminated a major general of the Russian army. According to several media data, 150th Rifle Division commander, Oleg Mityaev, was killed.
He is the fourth general of the Russian Armed Forces killed in Ukraine and the fifth, taking into account the Rosgvardia, "Novynarnia" reports.
He headed The 150th Idritsa-Berlin Order of Kutuzov 2nd Class Motor Rifle Division of the Russian Ground Forces (Military Unit Number 22179) located in Novocherkassk, Rostov region. This unit is part of the 8th Combined Arms Army of the Southern Military District.
According to official data, the division was formed in 2016. This division is new, created specifically for the invasion of Ukraine.
Oleg Mityaev was born in 1974 in the city of Orenburg. In 1991 he graduated from Suvorov Military School. In 1995-2007, he served in the East Caucasus District.
He took part in the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine since 2015 when he was the commander of the 1st Guards Motor Rifle Brigade, which operated in Donbas, in Kalmiuske and Starobesheve districts of the Donetsk region. As a kombrig under the guise of the so-called "DPR", he was called "Colonel Dygalo (Varavva) Mykola Mykolayovych". In 2018, he was identified by the SSU counterintelligence.
On 11 June 2016, he was awarded the military rank of "Major General" (Presidential Decree №276) for organizing hostilities of illegal armed groups on the territory of Ukraine.
In December 2016, he became the commander of the 201st military base of the Russian Armed Forces stationed in Tajikistan.
In 2020 he became the commander of the 150th Motorized Rifle Division, established in 2014-2016. This division is presented as the successor to the 150th Rifle Division, which stormed the Reichstag in Berlin in 1945.
On 9 May 2021, Mityaev led a parade at the Russian base Hmeimim in Syria.
