The main directions from which Russia carries out strikes on Ukraine are Belarus and the Black Sea.
“Whether it’s sea-launched cruise missiles or strategic bombers, now an effective system has been developed. We are trying to track and destroy missiles when they are about to arrive. Although this system doesn’t always work,” he notes.
At the moment some activities have been developed which will minimise the possibility of missiles hitting civilian population. Russia has chosen intimidation tactics since its plans failed.
“It’s an attempt to intimidate and exhaust us. There is no close firefight. The General Staff has developed a range of measures in order not to let this happen and minimise losses,” he adds.
As a reminder, Russia is launching missiles on the western regions of Ukraine, in particular the Lviv region, from vessels in the water area of the Black Sea. Today’s strike on Lviv was carried out with a missile launched from a submarine. The previous strike on the Lviv region was made from the planes above the sea.
