Radio Ukraine started broadcasting in the capital of the Czech Republic

Radio Ukraine started its online broadcast on 22 March morning in Prague. This was reported by the embassy of Ukraine in Prague.

According to the embassy, "radio is entirely Ukrainian speaking with Ukrainian music exclusively. The project is designed for Ukrainians forced to move to the Czech Republic to escape the Russian war against Ukraine".

The Ukrainian ambassador Yevhen Perebyinis believes that the radio station may also be attractive to Czech people who want to get acquainted with the Ukrainian culture or learn the Ukrainian language.

The radio broadcasts Ukrainian music. The staff will also prepare host programmes, as well as news broadcasts from Ukraine and the Czech Republic. They also plan to launch children's programs and consultation programmes with various experts.

The project was initiated by the media-holding Media Bohemia, that owns several Czech radio stations.

Let us remind you that in early March, Ukrzaliznytsia launched a free Przemyśl-Prague train to evacuate women and children.

Due to the influx of refugees from Ukraine, a state of emergency has been imposed in the Czech Republic.
