At the NATO summit, the UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson urged the member states to help Ukraine fight against Russian aggression, The Guardian reports. 

According to the UK Prime Minister, Alliance has possibilities to increase the weapon supply. 

“We have means, and they have a need,” Boris Johnson said. 

U.S. President Joe Biden said he welcomed the allies’ steps to supply Ukraine with defense support. 

He reminded that the USA is providing Ukraine $1 billion in military assistance to Ukraine, including anti-aircraft weapons, anti-tank weapons, drones, and ammunition. 

“Together, we intend to find additional equipment, including air defense, to help Ukraine,” the U.S. President said. 

Today Boris Johnson announced that the UK will provide Ukraine with 6000 missiles, including anti-tank grenade launchers and high-speed air defense systems Starkstreak. 

During his speech at the NATO summit, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged to provide Ukraine with 1% of Alliance’s aircraft and tanks.
