National Bank of Ukraine transferred almost 13 billion hryvnias on military needs.

As of March 25, the balance on the special account opened by the National Bank to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine is almost 21 million hryvnias, the press center of the National Bank announced.

The National Bank of Ukraine transferred almost 13 billion hryvnias to the military, most of it to the Ministry of Defense (9.4 billion hryvnias). The National Police also received 1.6 billion hryvnias. The State Border Guard Service received 980 million hryvnias, and the National Guard received 950 million hryvnias.

About 13 billion hryvnias in equivalent has been transferred to a special account since it was opened. Including about 3.8 billion hryvnias in foreign currency came from abroad from the United States, Great Britain, Germany, Sweden, Poland, Finland, France, Australia, the Czech Republic, and other countries. The rest came from citizens and businesses in Ukraine.

As for the account for humanitarian needs, which the National Bank opened for the Ministry of Social Policy, it has more than 307 million hryvnias left. Of these, 156 million hryvnias in equivalent came from abroad in foreign currency.
