Russia shells Lviv suburbs

Eyewitnesses reported three explosions in Lviv at about 4.30 pm. 

Mayor Andriy Sadovy confirmed the strikes in the Telegram.

"Lviv was shelled. We are waiting for information from the Military Administration. Please do not share photos / videos. Stay in shelters," he wrote. 

Head of the Lviv Regional State Administration Maksym Kozytskyi added there were three powerful explosions near Lviv on the side of Kryvchyts, and an air alarm is sounding. 

"Do not report the location and do not take photos," he said. 

Previously reported, russia launched missile strikes on Lviv on March 18. The invaders’ missiles hit the area of the aircraft repair plant; one person was injured, according to local authorities. 

Prior to that, on March 13, the enemy struck the Yavoriv test site, not far from Lviv and 23 km from the NATO border with Poland. More than 35 people died. 

Update 17:40 pm. Sadovyy warned that new shelling was possible. Lviv residents must remain in shelters.

Update 17:50. There have been two rocket strikes within the (city) limits of Lviv, five people wounded.

"The threat of a missile strike is still there. Stay in shelters! Do not go out into the streets! Do not take pictures! Do not read the information in the anonymous telegram channels and do not spread misinformation!" he warned.

Residential buildings were not destroyed by the shelling. 

Russians shelled Lviv also on 18 March. They fired rockets at the aircraft repair plant, one person was wounded, according to local authorities.

On 13 March, a Russian missile attack on a large Ukrainian military facility in Yavoriv, 23 kilometers from the border with NATO member Poland, has killed 35 people.
