Russian military used prohibited white phosphorus against Ukrainians, the Buzzfeed news journalist Christopher Miller reported on Twitter.
“Happening now on the frontline near the eastern city of Avdiivka, Russian forces are using white phosphorus against Ukrainians. Photos from a Ukrainian lieutenant taken in real-time moments ago as we spoke. He described the situation as “madness,” Miller wrote.
On March 22, the Russian occupiers used prohibited white phosphorus munitions over the northwestern outskirts of Kyiv. The approximate affected area is near Hostomel and Irpin. Also, on March 13, Russian forces used white phosphorus munitions in Popasna, Luhansk region.
