Repressions against russian army commanders who "have not justified the high trust" of the Russian authorities and are actually failing the mission in Ukraine are continuing The "black list" includes the "deputy commander" of the "DNR Defense Ministry" corps, Eduard Basurin.

A Ukrainian intelligence agency said that after a meeting with FSS operatives, Basurin was taken to an undisclosed location. His punishment is linked to an unwarranted statement which revealed the Russian Federation's plans to use chemical weapons against the Ukrainian defence forces in Mariupol.

Additionally, two battalion commanders of the 3rd Independent Motorized Brigade of the occupiers were earlier arrested by security forces (presumably FSS operatives) and transported to an undisclosed location.

This happened after it was clear that before the start of the war, according to the commander's reports, the brigade was 100% manned with special forces. However, after the start of combat operations it became clear that the actual presence of servicemen amounted to about 55% of the full strength.

"The fate of the former commanders is unknown," the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said.
