Today, on 16 April, the power supply of the Centralised Storage Facility for Spent Nuclear Fuel has been renewed. This is one of the nuclear facilities of National Nuclear Energy Generating Company of Ukraine Enerhoatom, situated in the Chornobyl Zone of Alianation.
It has been reported by the state enterprise.
The setting up of equipment and tools for the facility’s proper work has begun.
“We are grateful to DTEK Regional Kyiv Electric Networks, the State Special Transport Service, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and the State Agency of the Alienation Zone Management for their prompt and high-quality work,” Enerhoatom states.
Enerhoatom is going to develop a new protection system for the nuclear facilities of Ukraine to improve their defence capacity. In this respect, the experience of Russia’s military aggression will be taken into account.
