The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on the country's businessmen to hire internally displaced people (IDP) that left their homes because of the Russian invasion.
He said in his daily address.
"I call on the employers, however hard it is, to try and hire IDPs. Every job saved and every job created aids the state's defense during the war," – Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The President emphasized that for every IDP an enterprise employs, "it will receive from the state funding of their labor costs".
"It's 6500 hryvnias. The application can be made at the web portal "Diia"," – Volodymyr Zelenskyy explained.
There are two payment programs designed for internally displaced people – one from the government and one from the United Nations. The payments are meant for the IDPs that require additional protection and also low-income internally displaced pensioners.
