The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zeleskyy, insists that there should be full sanctions against the Russian federation's bank system's due to Russia's attempts to establish a fake regime in occupied territories and put rubles into circulation.

He stated that in his daily address.

"Occupiers, in addition to their other acts, are trying to tear the Kherson and Zaporizyzya regions off as they did with the so-called "DPR" and "LNR". They are transferring this territory into a ruble zone and subordinating it to Russia's administrative machine. All of that requires the Western countries to speed up the preparation of the new powerful sanctions. The attempt of the Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions' ruble occupation must be met by a full attack on the Russian bank and finance system with sanctions because they are part of the occupation machine," – Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

He's convinced that the democratic world also has to react to what the Russian occupiers are doing in the South of Ukraine – in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions.

"Torture chambers are being constructed there. The Russian occupiers kidnap representatives of the local authorities and everyone who they deem important to the local communities. They blackmail teachers. They steal money meant for pension payments. They block and steal humanitarian aid. They bring famine," – the President of Ukraine stated.
