For the 16th time, the Ukrainian military struck at the airport in the village of Chornobaivka, Kherson region, where russian occupiers concentrated their military equipment.
This was announced by the adviser to the Head of the President's Office Oleksiy Arestovych.
"Chornobayivka - 16. Low clouds and heavy rain did not interfere with the exact defeat of the enemy's MLRS positions and its newly renewed warehouses with missile munitions in Chornobayivka. Considering the long detonation, the 16th episode of the TV show ‘Chornobayivka’ did take place", he wrote on his Facebook on the night of 18 April.
Earlier, the 15th strike on the occupiers in Chornobayivka was adjusted via a chatbot.
The village of Chornobayivka is located on the northern outskirts of Kherson. Until recently, Kherson International Airport operated here. In 2021, flights to Kyiv, Istanbul, and Tbilisi flew from here every week. Here, for some time before the war, Ryanair launched flights.
On the morning of 24 February 2022, russians struck the fuel depots in Chornobayivka, and in the first days of the invasion captured the local airfield, which they considered a strategic point for the transfer of resources from the Crimea.
