Adviser to the Head of the President's Office Mykhailo Podoliak called on the West not to wait for russia to use a nuclear or chemical weapons, but to take preventive actions, RBC-Ukraine reports.
"Russia can use weapons of mass destruction. It is important that the world understands that we should not wait for the use of a nuclear or chemical weapons, but should preventively inform the russian leadership that there will be the consequences," Podoliak said on a nationwide telethon.
He suggested that these actions could be warning strikes on russia's nuclear weapons control centers.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy on CNN declared that putin can use tactical nuclear weapons during war in Ukraine. Although the Ukrainian Defense Ministry previously said that it does not currently foresee the use of nuclear weapons by russia, but "under any circumstances, we must be ready for any development of the situation."
