The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved changes to state regulation of fuel prices. “This should resolve the fuel shortage issue within a week,” said Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal.
He added that the ministers will communicate this decision in detail to the public.
"For the last week, we have been facing certain fuel supply issues. The main reason for this is the partial destruction of our infrastructure, including the shutdown of the Kremenchug refinery plant.
The Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Energy are in constant consultations with fuel companies to solve this problem," the Prime Minister said.
Because of fuel shortages at gas stations, Kyiv authorities urged Kyivans to hold off on using private transport and prefer the public. Providing fuel to the army needs is the main priority right now.
