The head of the Mykolaiv regional military administration Vitaliy Kim commented ironically on the remnants of rusted parts of the soviet-made missile used by occupiers to shell the region or of an aircraft of the same period.
Respective photos taken during demining works by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service in the Mykolaiv region were published by Kim on his Telegram channel.
“Guess, what it is? This is a part of the ancient AMS (anti-aircraft missile system - LB.ua) KRUG. It is from the 3М8 rocket contained in it. It is probably the booster solid rocket motor 3Ц5. I am not a specialist, but I feel that they will throw balalaikas at us soon,” he wrote.
Later, he added a new version: “Well, it also looks like route Tu-143. Very close to balalaikas.”
Soviet anti-aircraft missile system Krug was taken for active use in 1965.
Tu-143 Reys is a Soviet intelligence UAV, which was produced from 1973 to 1989.
