NATO countries have agreed to support Ukraine further to help it “supersede russia”.
This was stated by the Foreign Secretary of Great Britain, Liz Truss, reports Ukrinform.
“Putin must face a lasting defeat in Ukraine, russia must be contained, and such aggression must never be repeated... Allies must support Ukraine's transition to standard NATO equipment by immediately providing artillery, training, and the necessary expertise,” Truss said after the NATO Foreign Ministers' meeting in Berlin.
It should be noted that the NATO-Berlin format meeting is a new informal round of talks by the 30 members of the Alliance. This is already the third annual meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers.
Ukrainian defenders are already actively using equipment and weapons provided by partners. In particular, training is taking place on American M113 armored personnel carriers that are already in service with Ukrainian infantry.
Also, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, showed how Ukrainian artillerymen work on American M777 155 mm howitzers.
