As of May 18, the bodies of 1,288 civilians killed by the russian military during the occupation of the region were found in the Kyiv region.
This was reported by the Head of the regional police Andrii Niebytov.
"Today there are 1,288 bodies of killed people. I emphasize they all are civilians! Most of them were shot with automatic weapons," - Interfax-Ukraine quotes Niebytov.
According to the Head of the regional police, law enforcement officials during the survey of territories still identify the burial sites of those killed.
Recently it was reported that another burial of citizens shot by the occupiers was found near Makarov in the Kyiv region. The burial was found on both sides of the county road, where were placed the positions of the russians during the combat actions. The pit contained the bodies of three men, among whom was a citizen of the Czech Republic.
