At its sitting on 21 May, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine voted in favor of holding a general mobilization until 23 August 2022.

315 people's deputies voted for this decision.
The parliamentarians supported the Law “On Approval of the Decree of the President of Ukraine “On Extension of the Term of General Mobilization”.
“The term of the general mobilization lasts from 25 May 2022 for 90 days…The implementation of the Decree of the President of Ukraine “On extending the term of general mobilization” will help take adequate measures to repel the armed aggression of the russian Federation against Ukraine,” - said in an explanatory note to the law.
Also, at its sitting on 21 May, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine voted in favor of the law approving the Decree of the President of Ukraine on the extension of martial law until 23 August 2022.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky proposed to extend the martial law and general mobilization in Ukraine for 90 days - until 23 August.
