Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte criticized Vladimir Putin for russian troops killing children in the war in Ukraine.
This was reported by the Independent.
"Many people say that I and Putin are both murderers. I have long said that I do kill. But I kill criminals, I do not kill children and elderly people. We are ( with Putin, - ed.) in two different worlds," Duterte said.
He added that russia was not conducting a "special military operation" in Ukraine, but a full-scale war against a sovereign nation.
In 2020, Duterte warned quarantine violators that the most severe punishment applicable to them would be the firing squad.
Earlier, Duterte had urged the military to shoot him if he held on to his position.
