The Head of the Office of the President, Andriy Yermak, said that without a complete oil and gas embargo, EU sanctions would not have the desired effect.

On his Facebook, Yermak said that today Yermak-McFaul's group released a new statement on EU sanctions policy.

"If to be brief: the world must act faster and more decisively, show more solidarity. Less loud talks and more action," - said the Head of the OPU (Office of the President of Ukraine).

He said the group addressed the EU to speed up the complete embargo on russian energy to end Ukraine's war as soon as possible.

"Obviously, the implementation delay of the sixth package has reduced the effectiveness of previous measures, including restrictions on the financial system. Russia has continued to look for workarounds, adapt to sanctions, and blackmail some countries by cutting off gas supplies," - said Yermak.

He emphasized that "a full oil and gas embargo against russia is urgently needed" because without it, "sanctions clearly do not have the desired effect."

The Head of the OPU also said that the Ermak-McFaul group was suggesting ways to "reduce the damage from the embargo on European economies and simplify the transition period."

Yermak emphasized the combination of sanctions: "Complete oil and gas embargo and disconnection of all russian financial institutions from the global system, including "Gazprombank."

The Head of the OPU also added that the world community should "recognize at the legislative level that the Kremlin regime is a terrorist one, limiting any business connections with russia."

EU ambassadors have approved the sixth package of sanctions against russia. The details will be published tomorrow in the Official Journal of the EU.

Also, today, Andriy Yermak announced "surprises" for the occupiers that the United States will provide to Ukraine.
