Two people got killed and seven wounded when the russian army barraged the city of Slovyansk in Donetsk Region with artillery on 5 July, the head of the regional military administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, has said on Telegram.
Apartment blocks and individual private houses were damaged while the central market is on fire caused by the shelling.
A total of 10 rounds of shelling have been registered so far.
"Russians are targeting the areas where civilians cluster. This is sheer terrorism. The terrorist state must be taken to account!" he said.
He called on local residents to evacuate the city.
