Russia fired four rockets on Khmelnytskyy Region in western Ukraine at around 7.45 p.m. local time, according to regional military administration head Serhiy Hamaliy.
"Our air defence downed one rocket. The debris fell in Shepetivka District," he said.
Three other rockets hit a community in Khmelnytskyy District.
He suggested the strike was aimed at the community's water tower.
One person was wounded by the explosion.
