The Central Electoral Commission has recognised Oleksiy Sivirin as an elected MP.
He was No 21 on the Voice party's election list and may enter parliament after MP Rustem Umerov was appointed head of the State Property Fund and thus has to hand in his MP mandate.
Voice MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak confirmed the news to LB.ua and said that Sivirin has 20 days to decide whether to accept the mandate.
If he refuses to join parliament, the next in line is Maksym Khlupak, a former assistant to ex-speaker Andriy Parubiy.
Sivirin is a financier and business analyst.
