Russian troops shelled the Slovyansk thermal power plant in Donetsk Region on the morning of 17 September, the head of the regional military administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, has said.
"Equipment on the plant's premises has been damaged. Fire caused by the shelling is being extinguished by rescuers. The shelling disrupted water supply in the town of Mykolayivka," he said.
