The Odesa anti-aircraft missile brigade of the Air Command South shot down a Russian Su-25 attack aircraft at around 5 p.m. on 25 September, the Air Force Command has said.
The Su-25 was attacking Ukrainian units in Kherson Region.
When it was shot down, Russians sent a Mi-8 helicopter with a team on board to rescue the pilot.
It was also destroyed.
Today, Ukraine's air defence also shot down two Iranian-made Shahed-136 kamikaze drones in Mykolayiv and Odesa regions.
