In less than a month, the Czechs raised 1.22m euros as part of the Gift for Putin project. The money was raised to purchase an upgraded T-72 Avenger tank for the Ukrainian army, the Ukrainian Defence Ministry has said.
The money raised will be enough to purchase a combat vehicle and deliver it to Ukraine.
"In the future, the project plans to raise funds for the purchase of ammunition for the tank, as well as for Czech self-propelled howitzers Dana and MLRS RM-70 Vampire," the ministry added.
