The head of the state enterprise Enerhoatom, Pavlo Kotin, has temporarily assumed the duties of the general director of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, which is currently seized by the russian military. He urged ZNPP employees not to sign any documents given by the occupiers, Reuters reports citing his statement.
"Under the current legislation, permits, and regulations, I decided to assume the duties of the Director General of Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant," he said.
The administration of the plant was transferred to Kyiv after the abduction of ZNPP Director General Ihor Murashov by russians. All further decisions on the plant operation will be made directly at the head office of the state nuclear energy company Enerhoatom.
Petro Kotin emphasized that all technical issues of power units’ operation will, as previously, be solved by the technical staff of the nuclear power plant in coordination with the central office of Enerhoatom.
