As a result of Russia's missile attack on Kyiv on 10 October, several capital districts were hit, including its centre. Five Kyiv residents were killed and 51 people were injured, Kyiv mayor Vitaliy Klitschko has said on Telegram.
Of these, 42 were hospitalised in Kyiv medical institutions.
"The mad aggressor also hit several critical infrastructure facilities of the capital," he noted.
"The threat of new attacks continues. Therefore, I ask everyone not to neglect safety and air raid alerts. Stay in shelters during the alarm."
According to the Ukrainian Defene Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate, Russia has been planning missile strikes on the Ukrainian capital and infrastructure since the beginning of October.
On the morning of 10 October, Russia struck 14 regions of Ukraine. As of 1.30 p.m., 10 people were reported killed and about 60 wounded as a result.
