Russian troops hit a residential neighbourhood in Kostyantynivka, Donetsk Region, with a Smerch missile carrying numerous cluster munitions. At least 10 houses were damaged, three people were seriously injured, the press service of the National Police in Donetsk Region has said.
"The attack on Kostyantynivka took place at around 2 p.m. yesterday, 21 October. The ruscists used cluster munitions prohibited by international conventions that cause mass destruction," the police said.
All the shells hit residential buildings and the area around a store. The explosions injured a 21-year-old girl and two men aged 26 and 58. Mass casualties were avoided because most residents were not at home at the time of the enemy attack.
Police asked local residents to evacuate.
