President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed former Prosecutor-General Iryna Venediktova Ukraine's ambassador to Switzerland.
He signed the decree to this effect today.
She will replace Artem Rybchenko.
On 17 July, Zelenskyy suspended Venediktova and dismissed Security Service of Ukraine chief Ivan Bakanov, saying this was due to a large number of suspicions of high treason and collaboration involving law enforcement officers.
Venediktova told MPs that there were "no stories against her".
The head of the pro-presidential Servant of the People faction, Davyd Arakhamiya, hinted that Venediktova might get a diplomatic post. After MPs voted Venediktova out, he wrote that she "remains in the team", and "her experience will serve the state in a new place, which needs to be strengthened by professional managers and lawyers".
LB.ua sources reported that Venediktova could become Ukraine's ambassador to Switzerland on the day of her dismissal.
