Ukraine has launched the production of 152-mm and 155-mm shells, Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov has said on the air of the national news telethon, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
"I can say that the production of 152-mm and 155-mm shells has been launched at our enterprises. Now we will start production of mines and other things. We are talking about thousands - it is already an industrial scale," he said.
It should be noted that 152-mm shells are used by Soviet-style artillery and 155-mm shells by NATO.
Field repair teams of the state defence concern Ukroboronprom restore 90-95% of military equipment directly on the contact line or in the "grey" zone.
Also, Ukroboronprom announced the emergence of new 152-mm shells made in Ukraine.
